As of this review I am about halfway through this book. Overall, several of the exercises feel satisfactory, but this book feels heavily lacking in proofreading and polish.
The modeling chapters start off very rocky and there are a few errors in the exercises, as well as steps that have obviously been skipped especially in the clock modeling exercise, there is an obvious change in the accompanying images that is never mentioned once in the exercise steps The book picks up a bit later but it still feels very mediocre.
I can not say that I would recommend this book very highly, especially when Autodesk offers FREE tutorials on their website that are of the same quality or better than what is presented here. The animation chapters are a real mess. Then there's the exercise files. The exercise files are, for lack of a nicer word, incomplete.
The exercise files for the very first exercise are missing images needed for the exercise. They just aren't there at all.
